You can donate to PRI from now through May 20.

One of PRI’s most important recent projects was to analyze Nebraska’s child welfare system (download 583kb) and make recommendations to improve results for all the many children and families caught up in the system.

Child Welfare Services Reform Public Hearing – July 19

There will be a public hearing on July 19, 6:00PM to 8:00PM, at the Neighborhood Center, 115 South 49th Street, Omaha, for advocates and those who maintain the system to give their ideas on how to drastically improve the culture of the child welfare system.

The initial public hearing, June 21, for people affected by Child Welfare Services was well attended.

Congratulations to those who put the June 21 public hearing together: Melanie Smotherman-Williams (Family Advocacy Movement), and A’Jamal Byndon and Karen Abrams from the Progressive Research Institute. Thanks are also in order to the three volunteer videographers who recorded the event.
